“ Hi Marijana, Yes indeed, we really enjoyed our vacation. We found your service to be “correct”. Absolutely no remarks on that. The boat was OK for the money we paid. It was a bit worn out but then I guess it was also one of the cheapest in its category. Everything was working and nothing broke down. The sails were OK, the engine well maintained, electronics up to date (but some could use some calibration). Just one remark : the toilets smelled awfully. I suggested at the checkout to change the flexibles ASAP and to ask the cleaning team to use Dettol in the future. The people in base were really nice, helpful and I appreciated the relaxed way in which the check in & check out was done. Punat is also a nice marina as a check in/out base. Not so busy as Biograd, not so noisy as Zadar. We made a trip SE, round the Isle of Kornat : - Punat - Kolorat(anchor buoy) : lovely bay, we even spotted some deer (“bambi”) ashore - Premuda (anchor) : beautiful anchorage, next to the reef - Veli Rat (marina) : with a lovely view over Pantera bay - Katina (anchorage) : also a lovely place - Piskera (anchorage) : looked promising at daytime but the wind changed at night and made our sleep rather “choppy”. We also later found out that we were overcharged by the guy who collected our contribution for the Kornati National Park. It would have been cheaper and more comfortable to have stayed in the marina - Zut (marina) : one of my favorites but it lost some of its charm since I first came there in 1986. The powerboat people seem to be taking over… - Sali (marina) : found out that the N side of the port is now run by a different operator than the S side and kn200 cheaper. Unfortunately too late. - Veli Iz (marina) : our plan was to go to Zapuntel but a strong NW and a side stay that I did not trust for 100% drove us into Veli Iz where we enjoyed the rest of the day. - Zapuntel (anchor buoy) : We were followed by a family of dolphins on the way; 2 of us had a swim with them. Zapuntel is a lovely place. An unpredicted 180° wind shift at night sent a choppy sea into the bay but in the morning, everything was calm again. - Mali Losinj (marina) : the first “busy” town on our trip. We enjoyed it after 10 days of near isolation. - Kolorat (anchor buoy) : Unfortunately the second time, the water was green of algues and a bit smelly, probably due to the weather. - Rab (marina) : nice old centre - Punat I cannot really recommend any particular restaurants. All we’ve visited were nice but not outstanding. On the other hand, we’re not really looking for first class restaurants when we’re on holliday. I do advise everybody to watch out for the “price per kg” scam with the fish. In Veli Rat, I forgot to ask the weight and price of a particular fish when I ordered it and was charged a 1.6kg fish afterwards … There is no way I could have eaten all that by myself but it is hard to argue afterwards that it was smaller when there are only some bones and a head left.
